Gratitude365: #248 Half Day

(11/2) CNY Eve today. Half day at work. 🤩

Had vegetarian bee hoon 🥡 for lunch after a looong time. Paired it with English breakfast tea ☕ I bought from Karel Capek in Japan I think more than 2 years ago? Haha. But it’s still very fragrant and smooth, since it’s individually packed and sealed. It tasted flavourful even without any sugar or milk.

Gratitude365: #243 Out

(6/2) Went out with my mum to stock up on some stuff for the upcoming CNY. Unfortunately, the main thing we wanted (aburaage) was completely sold out ☹ But still, it was a good trip since we had a nice dinner and bought other stuff we wanted to buy. I bought some carob buttons and carob honeycomb. Trying so hard not to finish the whole container lol. I also bought oat milk. I got some small packets previously to see if I’d like it (since I find soy milk overpowers whatever I’m pairing it with) and the verdict is that it’s acceptable. 😄 In terms of pairing with granola, I prefer oat milk to soy milk since it tastes more…neutral? Haven’t tried it with coffee though. I should try it soon. I’m tempted to try coconut milk but like I only see 1-liter cartons and I’m not ready to make that kind of investment… 🥛

Gratitude365: #241 Pasta

(4/2) I always talk about food when I’ve nothing else to say lol. But really, my daily life is very boring and the most exciting event would be my lunch or dinner. Today’s dinner is pasta with instant pasta sauce from Muji. I fought the urge to ask my mum to increase the pasta amount because rice. So yeah, proud of myself. (But honestly the sauce could do with more pasta…)

Gratitude365: #240 Rice

(3/2) Had a healthy brown rice bowl for lunch today because mum said she’s not cooking. But when I reached home, she told me she bought rice for dinner because the stall had my favourite fried meatballs. 😱 Rice overload omg. But…I think I should still be grateful to have a mother who cares and buy food for me.
